Age: Probably about 5 in Poke'mon (equal to 17 in human years, about Jessie and James' ages I'd say.)

Gender: male (well, duh.)
Teammates/Friends: Jessie and James (Musashi and Kojiro).
Poke'mon: Meowth is a Poke'mon himself but if there's one Poke'mon that can be agreed at one time belonged to Meowth it would be Togepi.
Personality: Meowth is very crafty and by far the smartest in Team Rocket. He usually comes up with most of the plans. His character is that of a tough cat, a gangsta' and the cutest one at that. ^.^ But Meowth can also be very sweet and in some cases maternal, as proven with Togepi. Though he may not always admit it, Meowth cares alot about Jessie and James. Having them is his 'real happines'. ^_~ Also, did I mention he's the kawaiiest evva?! =^^=
Likes: His friends, Jessie and James, Togepi, food, balls of yarn, being treated with the respect he deserves and nifty trench coats. heeeh! XD
Dislikes: Persians, The twerps, Pikachu (only wants to capture it to be da top cat again.), water and being blasted off again.
Meowth was abandond as a kitten. An orphan, he wandered the streets with an empty stomach and an empty heart...even a basket of baseballs looked good enough to eat. Meowth went to Hollywood after seeing a commercial from there for ice cream and chicken. He was taken in by a gang of other Meowth's that was lead by a Persian...the next day, Meowth tasted chicken for the first time in his life.
Then, he met Meowsy...it was literally, 'love at first sight'...for Meowth at least. Meowsy told Meowth that he was 'nothing but a dirty street Meowth, with no money...that he 'wasn't even human', like her rich, stuck-up owner with the diamond Poke'ball. How could Meowth compare to diamonds?...wait! '...your not even human' is what Meowsy had said...if he wanted to win her love, Meowth had to make himself a human! It took a while, and was at no doubt painful, but Meowth eventually managed to walk on two legs. But, he couldn't run as fast now, and the next day, stealing some food, he was caught and beat up pretty bad...that's when he learned to crawl.;_;
The next step would be even harder...learning to talk like the humans. Meowth listened in on a speech class. It took him nearly a year, but after alot of pratice, Meowth said his first human word: "R is for, Raa-Raa-Rocket!". If that hadn't been the first word he said, Meowth might not've joined the illustrious Team Rocket!^_^
The next day, Meowth went to Meowsy...'look at me now, Meowsy! I can walk and talk just like da humans!'. But, after all Meowth had done, all he'd went through, Meowsy's response was: 'What's so human about you? Your still just a dirty street Meowth with no money...your worse then before! Now your a FREAK!'...a freak...Meowsy thought he was a freak, after he'd done evrything for her, she thought him a 'freak'. Meowth was crushed, he'd prove what a 'freak' he was! He'd become the ricest 'freak' she ever saw!...
So, Meowth left Hollywood, joined up with Team Rocket to become rich and powerful..but, his dream just never came true. Later, Meowth met up with Meowsy again, who had been abandond by her owner and now was in the gang. Meowth faced up against the Persian to win Meowsy's love back, and he won! But, being the heartless cat that she is, Meowsy dissed Meowth and stayed with the Persian...in return for Meowth risking everything for her, she told him this: '...I'd never want to be with you, your still just a walking, talking freak Meowth!'. Meowth left, heartbroken once again.
As of now, Meowth has tried to put his horrible past behind him, though it's hard to forget....
When Meowth joined Team Rocket, he was made the boss's top cat as he ould talk and Giovanni found him special. But, things didn't stay like that for long. Givanni had two bumbling Rockets of his that seemed to mess up every plan. So, he sent Meowth out on their missions with them to keep and eye on them and make sure they didn't fail. Thus, Meowth met Jessie and James.
Now, Meowth was suppose to be in charge of these two humans, but they didn't listen to a word he said. And, not long afterwards, while talking with their boss, Meowth discovered he had been replaced as Giovanni's 'top cat', for in his place now sat a Persain.
Meowth was stuck with Jessie and James, and they were stuck with him as well. At first the three hated each other, and they still do at times. But as time passed, they grew to become great friends; even if they don't always show it, the three are inseparibtle.
But Meowth still was and most likely always will be considered a 'freak' to all the other Poke'mon. An outcast to his own kind, Meowth thinks more of himself as a human - but he doesn't always fit in there ethier.
Caught Between Two Worlds
Meowth really doesn't fit into ethier worlds, Poke'mon or human, though in his heart all he really wants is to be accepted in one, not be a 'freak' as Meowsy had called him. Meowth is alot smarter then other Poke'mon; sometimes even forgets he /is/ one himself. True, his only true friends are human, Jessie and James, but he was born a Poke'mon...only to be cast out from that world as a freak. Togepi might've been one Poke'mon that would've be-friended Meowth, not thought of him like that. But, as the twerps stole the egg away from Meowth and it hatched to see Misty first, that dream was crushed as well. (I still find that eppy heartbreaking.)
Why is it that the 'outcasts', the 'freaks' or the misfits always seem to be the /true/ heroes? Well, we have only to wait for Meowth's spotlight. And, in his own way, he's beena hero many times. ^.^ Unlike Ash or Misty who apparently had no sorrow in their pasts, had no cool background, or spiff trench coats. (a lil' humor there, go on! laugh! laugh I say! ^-^.), Meowth does, he's very special. The type of character I personally find most interesting. Meowth will always be da top cat to his fans. ^.^

Meowth is a gangster, as by now I'm sure you've noticed. Though his Japanese voice is very cat-like (Nyasu), Meowth's english voice fits him perfectly as that role. I think I'd have to say his english voice is my favorite (Meowth's such a cute gangsta'!^_^.), but I love the Japanese Nyasu songs! ^.^ For more info. on Meowth/Nyasu's voice, check out da voice actors page. ^_~
Though Meowth's character may be a tough gangster cat, in all truth, I think Meowth is really justa' sweetie deep down. ^-^ Look at how he cared for Togepi; admitted how much he cares for Jessie and James. In the Mondo drama he even saves their lives. If Meowsy wasn't so cruel in fact, Meowth would never have turned to a life of crime. Buuuuuut, we don't want that now. Team Rocket without Meowth would just be...EEPS! I don't even wanna /think/ about it! o.o;;
Meowth always seems to get the short end of the stick. No matter what the case, he's the one who always gets beaten, shocked, blasted off and tortured. In the shorts espcially is what makes me mad. I guess it's because Team Rocket is the 'comic relief'. -.- I'm sorry but, I don't find watching my favorite charcters get beaten up very funny at all. ;_; And, it's not fair ethier. Just because Pikachu's the 'good guy' means it /has/ to win /every single time/? No. Meowth should've at least won the battle for Togepi. Just like Jessie should've won those dolls in 'Princess vs. Princess'.
What should happen? A Team Rocket show! ^_^ C'mon, they're cool and probably the most popular of all in the relam of Poke'mon fandom! It's what us fans want. ^.^ I know myself (and a ton of my friends), would /love/ to see Team Rocket win for once and /not/ Ash & co.! And I know I'd love the show alot more if they stopped picking on Meowth. I mean, come on. Hasn't he been through enough?! It's really cruel. ;_; It's ok, Meowth! Your fans love ya!!! ^_^
