ANNUAL RECREATIONAL PAINTBALL EVENTS

The big game appears to be dead in New Zealand for the moment. Once names like "VADER" in Christchurch, "Bethels Revolution" in Auckland and "Fantasyland" in Hawkes Bay would have figured promenently in this section. Today however New Zealand Paintballers don't seem to want recball. Fantasy land became the Hawkes Bay Triples after dwindling attendances. Likewise Vader 1999 was cancelled due to lack of interest and there appears to be no sign of a VADER 2000. There are still some people trying to keep big games alive, Their is a planned biannual game (which is still in the planning stages) to happen at Commando one. Mike Early, operator of C1 has indicated to Merc Star that he is open to any suggestions people might have as to the style and content of a big game.
