My vote: I love design 1, and I love the second of the two stars as well.

Though i scarcely need to say it, they're all excellent, i'm amazed by you,and you're a total gem. A total talented gem.

I like Design #2 for the main art. I prefer the text "Throws well with others", which more closely mirrors "Plays well with others". Second i like your alternate text, "Throws well at others". I like "Throws things at others" least. Design #1 is my second choice.

I prefer Star #2 slightly to Star #1, which might be a little too busy. They're both absolutely wonderful. You're amazing.

I'm not too interested in Designs #4 and #5.

Of course, i always want our Cussing Mascot on everything, everywhere, because i love it so much. I'll try to restrain myself and just vote for it to go on every shirt, on the sleve or pocket or something.

Fine job, Meredith! You have once again excelled all expectations, which is just what I expected. (Wait -- well, anyway, just consider it a compliment.)

Of the designs on http://www.oocities.org/meredee/2003, I like the motto of #2, "Throws things at others." I'm not so taken with the actual design, which seems a bit cluttered around the text. But I don't yet have a better alternative to offer, sorry. Maybe a sort of school report card, with the motto printed at the bottom?

I like the Seurat takeoff better than the Grant Wood takeoff, but I fear that the pointillist style makes it hard to distinguish the juggling joke. Nicely rendered, though.

I really like both star designs. Probably #2 is more immediately recognizable as juggling clubs.

As for color, I always like dark blue. I guess we've done a lot of blue shirts, so maybe it's time for a change. But I still like dark blue, dammit.

I really like the stars. I think I like the 'park' best but 'throws' is fun too. "Gothic' is good but comes in third for me.

I think all the designs are great. I vote for either of the first two American Gothics (Design #4 or #5) with Star #2 on the back.

Great work Meredith!

I really like Design #1, and I'm curious to see what the effect is on a black or white t-shirt. I also like Star Design #2 on a sleeve.

I'm also in favor of redoing the traditional club shirt in purple with white text and red highlights.

Meredith - kudos on the excellent artwork. I'd add Darrin Giesy to the t-shirt design input list. I will forward the info to him.

I'm all about the 2 art pieces..... What a HUGE surprise :-)......specifically, I'd vote for sunday afternoon in the park w/jugglers & american gothic, capitol in background. How many colors would be required for the Sunday Afternoon piece?

I was cracking myself up when I finally figured out that the stars were made of clubs.....totally missed that & felt like a dolt (in a good way) Good way to add festival info

I like the t-shirt designs. I like the #1 design but I think Allen is right about the juggling a little hard to see. I like the american gothic design with the farm house in the rear and the jester hat on the woman is a good choice. How about a top hat on the man? Just a thought. I like the second star also. The phrase "throws well at others" is very nice, too.

Great work Meredith. Here are my comments:

#1: While I really, really like this work, I just can't see it being executed well on a t-shirt, and especially not holding up well over a few washings. It seems like this would require a lot of colors to work well, and that each wash cycle would remove a handful of points. Summary: Beautiful but probably not practical!

#2: I agree with Allen's comments on this one.

#3: I'm not a fan of this design, only because I think you have to pretty familar with the shape of a juggling club to get the joke. I like that our past shirts make sense to non-jugglers without any explanation.

I vote for Star #2.

#4 and #5: I actually prefer the capitol building here, but I think it's weird to have the clubs being skewered by the pitchfork. Is it too late to ask for a design where the farmer is holding a bouqet of three clubs?

I like the first design best, but maybe without the detail blurred out quite so much. I also like the second star and

I'm not wild about the American Gothic. I'd also like to reiterate my fondness for the "club man" design from a couple years back that never quite made the shirt

I'm still voting for #5 (Gothic Capitol) as well as #4 Gothic. The stars are very cool too.

I like Allen's point about the Seurat, but only as far as the readability of the pointilistic style which Robbie and Gerry have addressed - I think the subtlety of the jugglers is exactly the "point" and adds greatness to the joke. I'd like to see a printout at a distance before tossing the design out.

Oh, and I like red, damnit.
And purple.

Allen's response to the variation on "Plays well with others" a.k.a "Juggler's report card":

Meredith! You doll! That's really cute!

I think "Five-Man Weave" is perhaps a bit esoteric -- not even everyone in our own club knows what it is -- but I'm torn. It would be funny to keep it but turn the grade into "D," though the downside is that everyone who knows the joke would have to explain it to everyone who doesn't. Another part of me, more practical, says to replace "Five-Man Weave" with some other, better-known "really hard trick" and give it the "D" grade. I can't think of anything. If you can't either, perhaps you can circulate this design to the assembled masses and get suggestions.

This one gets my vote!
