At the age of 20 he moved to New York , and started studying art at the museums, galleries and in a wide variety of books,. while trying his hand at various techniques, media and styles.
He continued these studies while travelling in Europe.
When in Guatemala he would study precolumbian art, and some of his art has a strong reflection of that.
Other works of his, are influenced by the classical and modern traditions.
In all he is highly original in conceptuation and execution.
