So, what do you want to know? I'm thirty-something, fell in love with Battle of the Planets as a pre-teen and it is without a doubt my best childhood TV memory. After dreaming about BOTP every night for over 15 years I eventually got to watch G-Force, which isn't the same but makes a lot more sense, due to the lack of Zark, so I still like it.

My other interests include an occasional fascination with Fortean phenomena, bits of Star Trek, Father Ted, Frasier, the PowerPuff Girls and Dexter's Lab. I enjoy the writing of Terry Pratchett and general humourous fantasy and sci-fi, although I don't get much time for reading now that I'm a parent. My favourite films include Some Like It Hot, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, The Truman Show and The Matrix. Musically I haven't really been keeping up but I like Jellyfish, Queen, Robbie Williams, Fat Boy Slim, Enya and Adam Ant. I also used to participate in D&D and Cthulhu roleplaying games, and was legendary for my terrible dice throwing and inability to remember the rules. I'm far, far too fond of chocolate and I'm currently trying to get interested in exercise but there's always something more important to do...

I'm a virgo fire horse, if such things are important to you - it's utterly meaningless to me. And I've got horrible spiky handwriting which is mostly in capitals, but that's just so that I can work out what I wrote the next time I look at it. People who like me have described me to my face as "pragmatic" and "unusual" (but they haven't really specified why), and until I became pregnant I was an "honorary bloke". I think of myself as a very sensible and practical person, but many other people do not. I'm the one who's right, of course.

I really dislike bullshitters. And ironing, but I buy clothes which don't require that sort of treatment and my husband irons his own shirts so it's not a problem. Apart from that, I'm really easy going and quite laid back in a terribly shy sort of way.

I'm English, married, mother of a toddling daughter who doesn't leave me much spare time to pursue my other interests, and I work as a systems analyst designing databases.
