Deeana Alexandra Cruix was born on October 23, 2125, in Lucerne, France. (Current age = 26).

Her father, Bernard Allistaire Cruix, had made a small fortune in the production of a family ale, and subsequently retired from business to devote himself to the pious preaching of Protestant doctrine.

Her mother, Jacqueline Bernadette Pasxal-Cruix, was equally puritanical, taking to the role of a Reverend's wife with quiet conviction.

In this environment, it was in no time at all that this spirited lass was spitting in the face of all that her parents and prevalent society held dear.

A precocious child with a decidedly michievous bent, Deeana seemed to possess a remarkable sense of direction and a sense of life's purpose, both of which remain the strongholds of her character today.

While remaining hopelessly undisciplined as a child, she lived life on the instinctive edge, driven by an unquenchable thirst for adventure, and knowledge. Throughout her childhood and early adulthood, this inner urge to know all, compelled her to explore the outer reaches of reality and her own mortality.

Deeana is the eldest of four siblings: Gabriel, Thome, and Xavier.

Raised in the suburb of Lucerne, and educated in Protestant Schools for primary and secondary education, Dee questioned the information she was expected to accept at every turn. She constantly questioned what lay beyond normal human consciousness.

During her mid teens, she was involved in a boating accident, suffering major head trauma. In a coma for the next 96 hours, when she awoke, her perception of the world around her had changed. As she recovered, she began to 'hear' the thoughts of those around her, especially those thoughts that were directed at her. She began delving into 'altered states' and 'transpersonal psychology', exploring her new found psionic abilities.

She began to practice with her psi, and grew stronger daily, discovering new abilities along the way. With ease, she was able to communicate telepathically with those around her. She was also able to move objects with her mind, though with some difficulty, and she was usually left drained of energy after each attempt. But the most wondrous ability of all, was that for brief flashes, she was able to project (as in astral project).

Keeping her abilities hidden from her parents, Deeana continued to experiment. Graduating from highschool at the age of 19, she applied and was accepted to StarFleet Academy, and began to study Medicine, with an under-graduate degree in Parapsychology.

Deeana is at heart a jester and an actor, and the handful of people that take the time to get to know her, soon find that she is quite the opposite to what she appears. Behind her shell of dry wit, sarcasm, smirks and raised eyebrows, there is a a fun loving little girl, who's only wish is to be accepted for who and what she is.
