PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY

Galit Eretz, or Gali, as she was called, was born in Jerusalem, Israel. Her mother was an educator and her father was an employee at the Israel Electric Company. When not studying, Gali was busy with her hobby creating jewelry for herself, family and friends. Most of her jewelry had a traditional Yemenite influence taught to her by her maternal grandfather. Gali excelled in the physical sciences and grew up with dreams of traveling into space. When finishing high school, she requested to serve her national community service as part of a shuttle crew transporting delegates to and from Earth Orbiting Space Stations.

Upon completion of her community service, she enrolled in Star Fleet Academy after which she was assigned as a Yeoman on Jupiter Station. After some time, she decided to enter the Crewman to Admiral Program (formerly known as the Seaman to Admiral Program before Starfleet was established) enabling her to obtain the training and degree suitable for a post as Science Officer while continuing with her yeoman duties on Jupiter Station.

While on Jupiter Station, Gali encountered her first love, only he didn't know it. During her final year of the Crewman to Admiral Program, she received Tzahi Sil's name from a mutual friend. Sil was an observant Jew born in Israel and raised in the United States. Gali was pleased to find someone else who was also observant on the station and sent a transmission to Sil, but he didn't respond to her correspondence for three months. Gali had given up on him until the mutual friend visited her and Sil, convincing them to meet. Gali and Sil were almost attached at the hip since then, always making sure to spend off duty shifts together. When Sil graduated the Academy and received his orders to ship out, they promised one another to stay in touch.

Not long after Sil had left, Gali received her degree and was offered a posting on the Meridian as a Science Officer.
