PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY

Born in Vancouver, Canada to John and Kaylee Reynolds, Malcolm was the oldest of three children. His brothers, Matthew and Victor, grew up in a nice home near the sea where they often went swimming in the warm summer. It rained a lot in Vancouver so Malcolm has fond memories of a game of soccer or football in the rain with his brothers and friends. His dad was a fond of the old game of hockey and he took his sons to the rink as often as he could. When Malcolm was 8 his father game him a copy of the Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander Books. This was Malcolm's first introduction to naval life.

Malcolm went to Vancouver High for high school and was a pretty good student in math and science. What he enjoyed most was history and the way his teacher brought it alive and into the classroom. Malcolm enjoyed learning from the past and learning about all the past conflicts that humans had to go through. With his interesting in history of past conflicts and his interest in a naval life he joined the Royal Military College two weeks after he graduated.

At RMC Malcolm pick the path of tactics and combat training. Spending 4 years there Malcolm was an A and B student and on the College hockey team. A top marksman, he was on the rifle team that won a good few of medals at competitions. A good leader he did well in simulations where he had to command fellow cadets in the field. He was at school in during the fall till spring and received seaboard training during the summer months. Upon graduation he found out Starfleet was looking for military personal to serve on Earth starships. He applied and was surprise to find out his was accepted while on duty in the Pacific Ocean.

His parents weren’t too happy their first born son was going into space. His father took it the hardest because he (Malcolm’s Father) thought Malcolm place was on earth. His two brothers thought it was very “cool” that their brother was in Starfleet. His brother Matthew has just graduated from RMC and has been posted on a ship in the Atlantic Ocean on earth. He too is thinking of a career in Starfleet but is still undecided.

Malcolm Reynolds is a quiet man that likes to do his duty to the fullest ability he can possible can. He has trouble fitting into new social surrounds but when he get the feel for things he is easy going and like to have a good time. With a good shot he is dependable in a fire fight and a great tactician. Mal to his friends, he holds loyalty and honor in high regard and sometime those values cloud his judgment.
