Here are some Pics from the 2002 International Freedom Festival. This show took 8 of us 6 straight days to set up, 2 days to take down, and 32 minutes to fire. The show was launched off of 3 barges out in the Detroit River. We loaded them up on land and then floated them out into position. A little know fact is that the day of the show we received a bomb threat and frogmen had to come out and search the bottom of the barges before we could send them out. Fortunately, no bomb was found. As if there weren’t enough explosives around us already. There was approximately 20,000 lbs of fireworks on each barge. I was on the middle barge. This is one of the largest annual shows in the world and to date the largest I have worked on. just Click on the pictures to see a larger view.
