Best Live Shows Iv'e seen

I have been going to concerts since I was just a pup. The first concert I ever went to was Journey back in 1981 During the "Departure" Tour They were always pretty good in concert. They used to sell out Cobo Hall 7 nights in a row. Not too many bands can do that. They were BIG in Detroit.

If you have ever had the chance to attend a concert in Detroit City then you know what true rock and roll shows are all about. Like so many bands will tell you. There is no audience in the world that compares to a Detroit Audience.

Anyway over the years I have attended literally hundreds of concerts, I have tried to narrow down the best 10, This was no easy task. I have seen so many good shows. But here is an attempt at it anyway.

(10) Black Sabbath/Ozzy - 1998 Reunion Finally Ozzy and Black Sabbath together again. Oddly enough, This was also the loudest concert I have ever been to. Actually, it was a bit too loud. Tony's guitar was screaching feedback through the P.A. Still this was a memorble show, I wish they would have done a little more of the obscure stuff tho, instead of all the Paranoid and Iron Man stuff. But the coolest thing about this concert was that I got the tickets from my Dad who all my life thought that Black Sabbath and Ozzy were devil worshipers corrupting my mind. In spite of all that, he called me up as soon as he found out he had the tickets. That was pretty cool of him.

(9) Kiss - 1996 Tiger Staduim Renunion Tour The first time I ever saw a concert at Tiger Stadium and the ambience was awesone, it was a nice night and Kiss did indeed rock the house. This was the first show of the tour so they were a little rusty. But it was also the first show that thay had done wearing their makeup in over 10 years. Quite a powerhouse show. Even better on shrooms, From what I can remember, this was an awesome show.

(8) Iron Maiden - 1985 Powerslave Tour Back in the 1980's Iron Maiden used to put on some killer shows, I think I saw these guys 4 or 5 times. The Powerslave tour was a nice spectacle. It was pretty cool to see them do "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" live. I brought my girlfriend to this show, I dont think she cared for them too much. But it was sweet of her to come anyway. The band Accept openen up for them. Remember Balls to the Wall man?

(7) Alice Cooper - 1987 Frankenstein Tour Well what can you say about a guy who commits suicide during his show. I've seen Alice hang himself, electrocute himself, and have his head chopped off. All in all, this guy can always be counted on to put on an entertaining show. This particular night he actually did Dead Babies and Hello Hooray which are 2 older songs that I had never seen him do before. That was a treat. Of course he opened with Welcome to my Nightmare.

(6) Yes - 1998 Union Tour (in the Round) For those who might not know, Yes is actually 2 completely different bands. The original lineup and the "90125" Trevor Rabin lead lineup. On this tour they combined forces and toured together. 9 members. Yes is famous for playing in the round. There is a circular stage in the middle of the arena. Quite a different effect. Yes is always very tight live. And everyone should see them do "Heart of the Sunrise" at least once in a lifetime.
