Messmer Academic Honesty Contract

Students at Messmer Catholic Schools must produce original educational work. Students must acknowledge, credit, or document all material (information, statistics, illustrations, etc.) from sources other than the students' own knowledge in every assignment. Students will learn the correct academic procedure through instruction. Students will also demonstrate integrity and develop a sense of self-respect from producing original work.

Plagiarism occurs when a student includes material in an assignment and claims to be the original author of said material.

Failure to acknowledge, credit, or document material in an assignment will be regarded as an act of plagiarism. An act of plagiarism will incur severe academic consequences for the student.
