Directions:
- Fill
in the numbers from 1 to 100, in ascending
order, from the upper left.
- Cross
out the number 1.
- Find
the lowest number you have not circled or crossed out yet.
- Count
to 100 by the number you have just circled, cross out all
of the
uncircled, uncrossed numbers that you name.
- Repeat
steps 3 and 4 until all of the numbers in the chart are either circled
or
crossed out.
- Stop.
- Do you
like to follow exact
instructions? The ability to follow instructions exactly
is a very
useful skill, and very dangerous one as well. Computers execute
instructions exactly as they are written.
- Do you
enjoy writing
exact instructions in a strict grammar? Perhaps you would
enjoy
becoming a computer programmer. They make reasonably good money and
enjoy a lot of freedom on the job. It is not a bad way go.
- What
do we call the circled numbers?
