Speakers Notes

Speaker’s Notes: You must write out your presentation, word for word, of the things you are going to say. This presentation must follow the outline and also conform to the slides you prepare. These notes must be created in MS-Word and will be graded as any other written essay for content, organization and usage. This essay should be written so that it stands on its own, without the slides or your verbal presentation.

Oral presentation: You must make an oral presentation to the other members of the class using the slides and talk you created.

Remember:

Identify the purpose of your presentation. For example, will it be used to share information, persuade opinions or present ideas?

Identify your audience so that appropriate language and speech styles can be determined.

PowerPoint slides should not display paragraphs of information, rather, they should include short to the point ideas that you can expand on during your presentation.

Limit your design to two or three fonts and avoid using all uppercase letters.

Keep your remarks short and to the point.
