Project 3 in the Unit 7 project list. Here is a suggested sequence of steps that will help you write Project 3 from the Unit 7 assignments.

1. Create a new folder for this assignment in My Documents. Call it Week7P3. Put everything you need for this project in this folder. Do not put anything else in this folder.

2. Select a topic for creating your own web page. It must be on a serious topic. A fan page for a sports team, video game, television show, music group or other entertainment will not suffice. Get approval from me. If you are a senior, I suggest that you create a page relating to your senior research project. If you are not a senior, any reasonable topic will likely suffice. A Messmer High School topic will be especially welcome, especially if it can become a permanent addition to the Messmer High School web site. Good ideas might include school clubs, sports teams, theatre, forensics, or other school sponsored activities.

3. Create a high level layout for your site. This layout should follow the natural structure of your topic area. The layout must include at least five separate pages.

4. The page must include at least one three-hundred word essay of your own writing.

5. You must respect all copyrights for anything you include. You must obtain written permission for including any photographs you include. You are encouraged to use any free items you can find.

6. Build your site off-line.

7. Show me the completed project when it is all in place. Then we can decide whether to take it live.
