The darkness of every Tool CD is certainly interesting. You're never quite sure just how evil they are, or if they really mean the things they are singing about. Violence is an evident topic in many of the songs. "I should just play God and shoot you myself." Songs and CD booklets about dark rituals, Satanic in roots or just plain evil things, make the eerie atmosphere of a Tool CD even more intriguing. The lead singer of Tool now also heads his side project, A Perfect Circle. To add to the chilling music, and the not-so-friendly messages of Tool, the first single by A Perfect Circle happened to be Judith, a song about a god abandoning his followers.
