Chapter 14 |
+jay's point~of~view+ I loathe this place, I despise Alania and I spit on her brainwashed guards. These chains that they have placed on my wrists, ankles and neck are like torture chambers. Their jagged metal tears into my skin and once they heal, the wounds come back anyway. Someone needs to cut my head off or drive a stake in my heart. Anything. I'm desperate to just get the fuck out of this place. I am growing more thinner each passing hour and my strength is declining. At six-fifteen, a guard was holding a crying, dark figure by the hair. The guard opened my cell door and through the figure inside. I jolted away so I wouldn't be caught in the crossfire of it hitting the floor. Through the shadows, I saw a young female with gothic clothing on her. Her hair was of a silver and tears were rushing down her pale cheeks. "Where am I?" she sobbed, wiping away a few tears. "Hell," I replied in a gentle tone. I outstretched my hand so she could grab it. She took it and pulled herself up with some assistance by me. Immediately, she embraced me in a hug and I stroked her hair. "Don't worry," she sniffled, "we'll get out of here." I licked my lips and felt my fangs grow. Her innocent scent drove me mad and I heard her blood pulse through her veins. "Well," I replied, my voice husky now, "I know that only ONE of us will." With that, I sunk my teeth in her and fed hungrily. A loud cry escaped her and I tightened my grip around her. Almost crushing her back. I drank ravenously until her struggles were no more and her heart was beginning to fade out. I pulled away from her and her body slammed harshly into the ground. Jayden completed her meal and pushed it to the metal bars. I heard a dull snap of her victim's neck and a low clang from the bars. She looked at me with blood flowing delicately down the sides of her mouth, "I've grown weary." I raised my pierced eyebrow, "So have I, young one." "Tell me, Jay, how you escaped..." "It won't work again..." "I do not care... Just tell me..." to be continued... |
