Chapter 12

Chapter 12, hehe, I’m quiet inspired at the moment... okay somehow inspired... okay, you win, I’m not inspired  . But I’m fast, that you can’t deny  . The others were already far away, when the flood of energy had stopped. She suddenly realised, that she was alone and all her confidence left at once, but she also knew that fear was the worst thing that could happen to her and so she stepped inside the dark. Suddenly the door closed behind her and an unfriendly darkness sorounded he. Of course, she had forgotten to put out her pocket light. While she was trying to find it she saw a weak ray of light, which moved quickly in her direction. At first she was like paralyzed but the she sliped into a corner at the right. She felt bugs crawling over her arms and her shoulders, but she knew that it was the smalles thing she’d to worry about at the moment. Soon she could see to whom the light belongs, she breathed deeply when she saw the concerned faces of Benny and Olli and she moved out of the corner. Olli and Benny were scared of the creature in front of them and they almost let out a scream when the ”thing” started to talk ”Hey where’ve you been?” they both breathed a sigh of relief when the recognized her. Benny was the first one who found his voice back ”Damn you scared us to dead two times, hun”, he didn’t realised what he just had said and Nicole and Olli were excanging meaningful sights when she answered ”Oh I’m sorry, but...” what should she say? That she had stopped because she had enjoyed his touch? That sounded strange and so she decidede to lie ”but I lost my...” she grapsed into her bag and put out her pocket light ”...my pocket light. And why did I scare you TWO times?” Benny’s face showed that he didn’t really belive her with the pocket light, but he didn’t say anything else about it, he just answered her question ”If you were able to look at yourself you’d die.” She didn’t understand what he meant and Olli helped her ”The corner you’ve hidden in must be very uhm... dirty, now even your face is black and...” he moved towards her and removed a spider from her shoulder, she shuddered with disgust and then said ”Uh, let’s get away from here, I hate spiders and Head is waiting” the two boys agreed and the made their way through the dark tunnel. It seems endless to her and the only good thing was that she was close to Benny, he was right behind her and she could feel his hot breath in her neck. But suddenly Olli who had walked in front of her stopped. Benny crashed right at her and stuttered some excuses under blushes, she just smiled and said ”It’s okay!” she wanted to add that he’d done things that hurt worse but Olli made them a sign to keep quiet and to switch off their lights. They stood there for some minutes just listening in the dark. And then they heard it, somebody was singing. It was an american accent and Nicole and Benny recognized it almost at once. It was ”Lowrider”, the voice was far away, but they knew that they were on the right way. But before Nicole and Benny could start cheering Olli warned them ”Are you mad? When we’re really near Head then there will be a lot of attendants around us, we’ve to be as quiet as possible, leave the light out, we’ve to find our way trough the darkness without light!” They almost crept forward, hoping to be quiet enough and then they stand in front of a door. Olli opened it slowly and a ray of bright light shone right at their faces. ”What do you see?” whispered Benny. Olli turned around ”It seems to be very easy, the attendant is asleep, but I don’t trust it. It’s too easy, I bet there are a few traps.” ”Where are the keys?” hissed Nicole ”They lay on a table beside the guy, but why?” answered Olli. She smiled ”Remember what you’ve said about my outward appearance? When I scared you I’ll also scare him. So let me through, please.” Olli smiled and moved, but Benny hold her back ”NO! That’ll be very dangerous, you might... you might...” She smiled, kissed him softly and used his confusion to pull herself out of his grasp. She walked slowly and carefully out of the door and took the keys. Exactly at the moment she already felt safe the guy awoke. He looked at her and his face showed pure horror and then he fainted. She was surprised that she really looked that scary and she hoped that he didn’t get a heart attack, but she had no time to worry about it, he wouldn’t sleep forever. She made a sign that Olli and Benny should join her. Benny’s face showed anger ”Why did you do that? Don’t you know how dangerous it was?” she rolled her eyes ”But it worked, didn’t it? Sometimes you just need to risk something. I know it won’t work always, but I knew that it’d work this time.” Benny just shook his head and Olli started to unlock the door. The voice of the singer was very near now and after the door had opened they saw a very thin Head who looked at them with an scared expression in his eyes. Benny smiled happily, he was really meeting one of his idols, but when Head started to let out high screams he found his way back to reality, he put a hand over Heads mouth and started to explain ”Shhhhh, don’t worry, we’re friends and...” he looked at her, she was still black and dirty everywhere ”...we’re all humans. We’re here to rescue the world...” Benny coughed ”and we need your help. But we’ve no time to explain it now, soon everyone will know that we’re here, you have to trust us. We’ll take you to our hotel room and then you can eat something, have a shower and sleep in a real bed and tomorrow we’ll tell you everything, are you with us?” Head looked at every face and then he nodded. Nicole smiled ”Great, shall I help you to get up?”. Head was surprised ”You’re a girl?” he asked. Nicole rolled her eyes ”Yup, any problems? No? Good! Then get the f*ck up now!” Head smiled and took the hand she’d offered him. She pulled him to his feet and then they started to walk back.
To get back to the hotel they’d to walk, because they couldn’t take the tube with the dirty Nicole and the tired, thin Head. Finally after an one hour walk they arrived at the hotel. They went inside through the emergency exit and when they were in their room Head just felt asleep and she took a shower to be herself again. Olli and Benny celebrated their first victory with a couple of beers and after twenty minute she joined them with some Coke, she knew that at least one of them would need a clear mind tomorrow. Soon the two guys had enough and they fall asleep on the sofa. She took some blankets and covered them. Olli thanked her with a grunt and then he turned around and started to snoore, but Benny pulled her down and forced her to lay down beside him. She was confused and also surprised, but she did nothing, she just enjoyed the feeling to be close to him and to feel his arms wraped around her and with those happy thoughts she fell asleep.
