Chapter 10

Jonathan and Kalarnia emerged from the bathroom, fully dressed, and looking extremely happy. "Was it good for you?" Heather laughed, looking at Kalarnia. "Haahahaa!! Yeah!! It was!!" Kalarnia giggled. "Heehee! Good!" Heather winked at Kalarnia. "I want to thank you, Heather...." Kalarnia said as she approached Heather. "For what?" Heather asked.  "For being there for me.... for the blanket... for the ice pack..." Kalarnia looked at the floor.  "For the blanket? How did you know?" Heather asked, surprised.  "I was awake.... thank you." Kalarnia grinned, as she hugged Heather.  "You are welcome! It is no problem at all." Heather replied, hugging Kalarnia back.

    ~knock, knock, knock~

"Who could that be?" Head asked, confused. "I don't know." Jonathan replied, looking at Head. As Head opened the door, a fist came full force toward his face, knocking him on the floor.  "Who the hell is that??" Munky screamed. "Oh shit!!" Kalarnia yelled. "That's Chris!" Jonathan exclaimed, shielding Kalarnia. "Oh shit, Brian!!" Heather yelled, as she ran toward Head. She cradled his head in her lap, moving the twist of hair out of his face, rubbing his eye lightly, where he got hit. Head groaned, obviously in pain.  "Where the hell is Kay?!?!?" Chris demanded.  "Let me go." Kalarnia whispered to Jonathan.  "No." Jonathan  said quietly into her ear.  "Where is the bitch?!?" Chris screamed. Chris looked across the room and saw Kalarnia in Jonathan's arms. "You fucking bitch!! You are gonna go to that faggot?" he asked angrily.  Jonathan stood up to him. "I'm not a faget!!!" he yelled. "Yeah, whatever... fag." Chris replied, an evil grin on his face.  Jonathan approached Chris. "Jonathan!!! Don't!!" Kalarnia screamed. "What are ya gonna do now, asshole?" Chris asked angrily, pulling his 9millimeter pistol out of the back of his jeans, pointing it at Jonathan.  "Oh shit!! He's got a gun!" Munky yelled. "Fuck!!!" David  cried. Fieldy was behind Chris. Chris didn't see him when he came in the house. Kalarnia glanced at Fieldy. Fieldy nodded his head, looked at Chris, and then looked at Kalarnia. Heather looked worriedly at Kalarnia. Kalarnia gave a reassuring smile to Heather. Heather nodded her head in understanding.  Fieldy leapt across the room, tackling Chris from behind. Chris fell to the floor, face first. The gun flew out of Chris's hand, and ended up at Kalarnia's feet. Kalarnia picked up the 9 mm, and pointed it at Chris's head.  Chris looked up at Kalarnia. "You won't shoot me, you slut." Chris sneered, getting up to his knees. "Someone call the cops, before I do something that I will regret." Kalarnia suggested calmly, cocking the gun.  David ran to the phone, dialing 911.  "Please don't. He isn't worth it." Jonathan begged Kalarnia. Kalarnia's hands were shaking. "For everything that he has ever done to me,  he deserves to die." she replied, as she approached Chris and pressed the barrel of the gun into his forhead. "Kalarnia, please....." Heather said, tears in her eyes.  Jonathan noticed the crazed look in Kalarnia's eyes, and murmured, "Oh shit."  "Mother fucker!!!!!! Wanna hit a woman???? Hit me NOW!!!" Kalarnia screamed, clearly very angry, and hurt by this man.   Chris realized that Kalarnia wasn't kidding. He saw the hate in her eyes for the first time, ever. "Oh fuck.... no.... please.... don't shoot me!" Chris begged, holding up his hands. "Fuck you! Don't move! Don't you FUCKING move!!!!" Kalarnia screamed angrily. "Kay? Oh, baby.... please don't...." Jonathan asked. Kalarnia pressed the gun into Chris's eye, hurting him. "Beg for my forgiveness, asshole." Kalarnia hissed.  "No!" Chris growled. Kalarnia raised the gun and shot the celieng, and then pointed the gun back into his eye. "Do it NOW!!" Kalarnia screamed.  Everyone cringed, including Chris. "I am so sorry, Kay.... please forgive me!" Chris begged.  Kalarnia looked up to see the lights of the officer's car through the window. She glared back down at Chris. "No..... I DON'T forgive you!" Kalarnia yelled, hitting him on the temple with the butt of the gun, knocking him out.

The officer entered the house, and approached Kalarnia cautiously, gun drawn. "Ma'am, please drop the weapon."  Kalarnia dropped the 9mm on the floor, and fell to her knees, sobbing. "You will have to come with me." the officer said.  Kalarnia fainted.  Jonathan asked to speak with the officer alone in the other room. The officer agreed, as he picked the gun up off of the floor.

After a half an hour, they came out of the kitchen. Kalarnia was awake, and sitting on the couch, sobbing into her hands. Heather was sitting beside her, consoling her, and rubbing her back.  The police man adjusted his long, blond pony-tail, and examined the bruises on Kalarnia's face. "Okay, sir. I believe you." he said to Jonathan. The officer handcuffed Chris, even though he was unconscious. The officer spoke into his raido. "I have an attempted murder, here." the officer said. Dispatch replied, "Do you need back up?" "No, not necessary. Suspect is unconcious, and in custody." the officer said to the unseen voice in his radio. "Okay, Danny. That's a 10-4." dispatch replied. Danny placed the radio back on his belt, and looked at Kalarnia sitting on the couch. "You are very lucky that you had him here, ma'am." he said as he pointed to Fieldy. Fieldy grinned proudly. "I don't want to be hurt by him again. Is he going to jail?" Kalarnia asked, clearly worried. "Don't worry, ma'am. Attempted murder is a serious crime." Danny replied. "He will be in prison for a long time." he grinned reassuringly. "Thank God. Thank you!!" Kalarnia replied sobbing into her hands again. "You are welcome." Danny said, turning to the unconcious man on the floor.

Chris was dragged out of Head's house, by Danny, the officer. Heather was now standing next to Head checking his eye. Kalarnia looked up at them both. "I am so sorry!" Kalarnia cried. "It's okay." Heather replied, looking at Kalarnia. "No.... it is my fault! He must have followed Jonathan and me back here last night! I am sorry!" Head rubbed his eye gingerly. "It's okay, really. I am just glad that nobody got hurt." he said, hugging Heather tightly.

"I am so sorry, all of you!" Kalarnia exclaimed. "It's okay, baby!" Jonathan replied, touching her hair lightly. Munky approached Kalarnia. "It's all good, Kay. You are safe, now." Munky hugged Kalarnia. "Thank you." Kalarnia said, grateful.
