PART 3

Jonathan opened the passenger door of his black Mustang for Kalarnia. She smiled at him. "Thank you."  Jonathan grinned back.  "So where would you like to go?"  he asked. Kalarnia thought about the question briefly.  "How about my house?"  Jonathan sat behind the wheel.  "Okay. Sounds good to me."  He started the car and drove away from the Dancing Spider.

"Up there, on the right." Kalarnia pointed. Jonathan pulled the Mustang into the driveway. They got out of the car and walked toward the house. Kalarnia inserted her key into the lock, turned the knob, and lightly kicked the door opened.

"Make yourself at home." Kalarnia said, as they walked inside. She watched Jonathan sit down on her black leather couch. His beauty captivated her. "Would you like something to drink?" she asked. "Sure. I'll take a Coke, if you've got one." he grinned. Kalarnia went to the kitchen and retrieved two cans. A Bud Lite in one hand, and a Coke in the other. As she was turning around to go back to the living room, she felt a hand touch her shoulder. "Oh God!!" she screamed. Kalarnia dropped the Coke can on the floor. "Shit! I'm sorry!" Jonathan exclaimed, worry rising in his voice.  "Oh damn." Kalarnia grumbled as she scrambled to find the can that had rolled under the kitchen table. Jonathan pulled her close to him, took the Bud Lite from her hand and set it on the table. "Hey, don't worry about the Coke. Are you alright? Why are you so jumpy?" he asked, genuinely concerned. "Jumpy? I'm not... well, it's just that..." Kalarnia stuttered. She leaned her head against his chest. "I'm sorry." she sighed. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and held her close. He inhaled deeply the scent of her hair. Kalarnia pulled away from him slightly, and looked into his beautiful brown eyes, searching desperately for some kind of truth, as to why he was standing here holding her.
