Part 7

Head heard a loud pounding at his front door. "Hey! Turn that down!" Head yelled to Munky, pointing at the stereo. Munky turned the volume down, as Head answered the door.
Head opened the door to find Jonathan standing there, tears in his eyes, and an unconscious woman in his arms. "Holy shit, man! What happened?" Head exclaimed. Heather, Head's girlfriend, saw Jonathan with the woman in his arms, and jumped up from the sofa. "Oh my god! Lay her on the couch!" she said excitedly. "Is she okay?" Fieldy asked, as Jonathan laid Kalarnia on the couch. "Oh damn! I know her!" Heather said. "You do?" Head asked, concerned. "Yeah. She is always at the Dancing Spider. I see her there all the time. Her name is Kalarnia." Heather replied. Head looked at Heather. "We played there, tonight. I didn't see her." Heather gazed at Head. "I did. She was sitting at the bar."  "Damn, what happened to her?" David asked, noticing the bruises on her face. Jonathan kneeled on the floor next to the couch, and lightly touched Kalarnia's forhead. "It's a long story." Jonathan sighed.
As Jonathan finished telling everyone what happened, Kalarnia stirred on the couch. "Ohhh.... my head." she weakly groaned. Jonathan quickly turned his attention to her. "Kalarnia? Are you okay?" he asked, tears welling up in his eyes. "Ugh... ummm... yeah, I think so." Kalarnia sat up. "Chris!! Aaaahhh!! Where is he??" she yelled, looking hastily around the room. Jonathan gently grabbed her hands. "You don't have to worry about him anymore. He won't hurt you ever again." Kalarnia looked deep into Jonathan's brown eyes. "You promise?" "I promise." he replied, touching her cheek lightly.
"I will get you some ice for your jaw." Heather offered. Kalarnia looked over at her. "Heather? What are you doing here?"  Heather grinned at her. "Brian is my boyfriend."  Kalarnia's eyes widened. "He is? Wow!" Heather grinned again. "I will get you some ice." "Thank you." Kalarnia sighed, gingerly rubbing her jaw.
Munky motioned for Jonathan to come across the room. Jonathan rolled his eyes, and said to Kalarnia, "I will be right back." She fidgeted a little, and said, "Okay." Jonathan approached Munky and asked, "What?" Munky had a mischievous grin on his face. "Hey, man, was she good?" Jonathan glared at him. "Damn, dude! You are such an ass!" Jonathan walked away from Munky, and returned to Kalarnia's side.
Heather returned from the kitchen with an ice pack in her hand. She handed it to Kalarnia. "Thank you." Kalarnia said, giving Heather a weak grin. "It's no problem at all." Heather replied, returning the smile. Heather looked at the rest of the guys and said, "I think we should leave them alone."  Fieldy chuckled. "Why?" Heather glared at him. "Because! Let's just go in the den."  Everyone agreed, and they all went into the den where the pool table is.
Jonathan looked at Kalarnia with concern in his eyes. "What's wrong, Jonathan?" Kalarnia asked.  He looked at the floor. "Nothing." Kalarnia gazed at him, confused and worried. "What's the matter?" She asked again, lightly touching his cheek. Jonathan sighed. "Well, damn it. I don't know how to say this." Kalarnia looked at him, bewildered. "I think I'm falling in love with you, baby." Jonathan blurted out. Kalarnia dropped the ice pack on the floor. Her mind was reeling.
' What is he saying to me? Oh my god! ' She thought to herself. Kalarnia couldn't hold back the tears. "Oh, Jonathan..... hold me." she sighed. Jonathan pulled her close, and held on to her tightly for a long time.
