Why Me? By: Kalarnia
	Kalarnia shivered. It was a warm, balmy evening, but she couldn't shake the overwhelming feeling of dread that consumed her. It made her feel cold inside. Why me? Why does my lfe have to be in constant turmoil? She thought to herself. She felt as though her life was spinning out of crontrol. She sighed as she opened the door to her favorite club, The Dancing Spider. She paused as the door closed behind her. She saw her destination on the other side of the dance floor. Kalarnia fought her way through the pulsing crowd. The bartender, Michael, saw her coming. He grabbed a bottle of her favorite beer, and a coaster. "Hey there, Kalarnia."  She looked up at Michael and gave him a half grin. Same as always. Michael thought. So beautiful, but so sad.  " I don't know your fuckin' name, so what, let's fuck!"  Kalarnia barely heard the song. She was so caught up in her sorrows, that she didn't even notice who was playing on the stage at the front of the club. Jonathan wiped the hot sweat from his brow as they finished ADIDAS. The band only had enough time for one more song. Just then, he glanced across the room. Sitting there, in the warm glow of the lights over the bar, was the most beautiful vision that he had ever seen. She had a single glimmering tear rolling down her cheek. She looked lost in herself. Oblivious to the loud music, the smell of smoke, and sexual adrenaline that permeated the room. He now knew what song to perform. He turned around to the rest of the band, and they got into a huddle to discuss the song they would play. Kalarnia felt a presence looming over her. She raised her head and looked up to see Michael standing there, a look of concern apon his face.  "Need another beer, Kay?" he asked. She looked at her now empty bottle. "Um, yeah. Sure." she replied. Just as Michael was setting the beer down in front of her on the bar, she heard a very farmiliar tune start. A song she loved... "Keep knocking, no one's there..."  A song she lived by.  "Pouring down, near people..."  Her theme song.  "My head, by myself, all alone. Ready to blow my head off!" Kalarnia closed her eyes and took in the words. "I hurt so bad inside, I wish you could see the world through my eyes. It stays the same, I just wanna live again!"   "Oh gawd." Kalarnia groaned. She opened her eyes, tears streaming down her hot face. She looked over at the stage and realized who she was seeing.  Oh gawd, it's HIM!! She screamed silently.
