What this is
This page WAS dedicated to the weekly heavy metal radio show "Metallurgy". Every Friday night, from 11pm-2am on KRVM 91.9 FM, this metal radio show hosted by "The Junk", played out over the 200,000 residents of the Southern Willamette Valley near Eugene, Oregon. However, new management cut the long running show, citing the content and names of the bands being played as 'too violent'. The band '3 Inches of Blood' was given as an example. This popular show may return someday in another form on another station, but for now is dead.
I should note that though this page was created for the show, by far the most site hits are for the Genres page, which lists heavy metal genre definitions.
A new page that I hope will generate interest is one dedicated to bringing awesome, unknown bands to the light. This will be a short list of only the very best of the Unknowns, past and present.
I invite any and all interested in heavy metal to peruse unfamiliar names and perhaps discover something new. Click on the linked band name to go a page featuring that band. If you can't see the list of bands in a frame to the left, click here. The page will give the official logo, a picture and a short bio (or assessment) of the band. Also, almost every band has a link to the official homepage, so if nothing else, this page can be used to find links. Mail me if you like... I'm sure to respond.
