Gundam Wing HEAVYARM 1/144

I purchased this kit when Toysrus first introduced gundam in the US. The model looks pretty nice even without painting, so I haven't painted it, until now. Some re-modelling needs to be done: Years ago when I first put it together, I didn't use any glue. Now I need to un-snap the parts and glue them together, and apply puttying and sanding.

The color scheme is the closest to its original, among my Gundam collection. The surface is easy to paint, but the embedded weapon compartments are difficult to reach with parts molded together. I used black as the baseground color on each compartment, then touched up the weapons with various tones of gray. The head needs a little touch up with hand brush.

Recently I acquired a lot of model decals. Most of them are for WWII or modern airplane model kits, but they look just fine on Gundam, I think.
