Agorodd Caerfyrddin ymgyrch Ewropeaidd timau Cynghrair Cymru yn erbyn AIK Solna o'r Sweden, gyda pherfformiad cadarn yn ennill gêm gyfartal iddynt. Ond doedd hyn ddim yn deilwng o unryw sylw sianel deledu yr ymerodraeth Brydeinig (y BBC). Rhaid oedd dibynnu ar Sky Sports neu Eurosport os oeddech methu a theithio i Coedlan y Parc, Aberystwyth. Dyma yw'r ail dro i BBC Cymru gael eu dangos i fynny gan y sianeli lloeren, wedi ei lleoli tu allan i'r wlad, gyda Eurosport yn dangos dwy gem fyw Bari yn Ewrop y llynedd. Doedd rhaglen newyddion BBC Cymru nôs Sadwrn methu hyd yn oed canfod amser i ddarllen allan y canlyniad heb sôn am ddangos unrhyw luniau teledu. Mae'n siom hefyd fod S4C, sydd yn rhoi sylw i gystadleuthau amhoblogaidd iawn e.e Y Cymro Cryfaf sydd yn denu torfeydd sy'n is na 100, ond wedyn yn straffaglu i roi unrhyw sylw i gem a ddenodd dorf o 1,600 +.

Efallai nad yw timau Cynghrair Cymru wedi llwyddo i ennill llawer yn Ewrop, ond nid yw S4C a'r BBC wedi defnyddio'r esgus hwnw i beidio rhoi sylw i daith drychinebus tim Rygbi Cymru i Japan. Ydi Sky a'r sianeli Lloegr wedi penderfynnu peidio roi sylw i dim Criced Lloegr sydd wedi gwneud yn warthus ers blynyddoedd yn y gemau undydd? Heb sylw i'r gemau Ewropeaidd pwysig, syt mae disgwyl i dimau'r gynghrair Genedlaethol wella? (Sylwch nad ydym yn enwi HTV - gyda rhwydwaith ITV yn ceisio lleihau gwahaniaethau 'rhanbarthol', ni ellir disgwyl gwell ganddynt.)

Carmarthen opened the European Campaign of League of Wales clubs against AIK Solna from Sweden with a strong performance that won them a drawn match. But this was not worthy of any attention from the British Empire's television station (the BBC). Those not able to go to Park Avenue, Aberystwyth had to depend on Sky Sports or Eurosport for coverage. This is the second time BBC Wales have been shown up by satellite channels based outside the country, with Eurosport showing two Barry Town live European matches last season. BBC Wales' news programme on Saturday night couldn't even find time to read out the result, not to mention tv pictures. It's disappointing that S4C, who find plenty of time for very unpopular events such as the Strongest Welshman that regularly attracts less than a 100, but struggle to find time for an event that attracted 1,600+.

Maybe LofW representatives in Europe have not gone very far, but S4C and the BBC have not used that excuse not to show Wales' rugby team's disastrous tour of the rugby stronghold of Japan. Has Sky or the other English channels decided not to show England's Cricket team that have been terrible for a few years in the one-day game? Without attention to these important Euro matches, how should we expect the LofW clubs to improve? (Notice that we don't mention HTV - with the ITV network trying to minimize 'regional' differences, nothing more expected from them.)
