| Da oedd clywed ar y penwythnos ganlyniadau ein cynghrair Genedlaethol yn cael ei darllen allan ar TalkSport a Sky Sports yn dilyn canlyniadau'r Alban. Daeth hyn ar ôl i'r BBC, sydd fod yn wasanaeth cyhoeddus sy'n gwasanaethu Prydain gyfan wrthod gwneud yr un fath. Canlyniad oedd hyn, yn rhannol, i ymgyrch Del Thomas o gwmni TNS, sydd wedi bygwth cymryd camau cyfreithiol yn erbyn y BBC am beidio rhoi tegwch i bob rhan o'r ardal maent yn gwasanaethu. Byddai sinig yn dadlau mai'r unig reswm mai Del yn gwneud hyn yw i gael sylw i'w gwmni. Efallai wir, ond byddai'n anodd dadlau nad yw cael sylw ar y cyfryngau yn beth da i weddill timau Cynghrair Cymru fyddai'n elwa o'r ymwybyddiaeth ychwanegol y gallai hyn ei greu am y Gynghrair. Mae'n amlwg o hyn felly ei bod gan gwmnïau sydd yn cael ei redeg gan Rupert Murdock fwy o gydymdeimlad at Gymru na ryw fiwrocratiaeth sydd yn nwylo dynion efo trwynau toffi sydd yn dal i feddwl mae Lloegr yw canolbwynt y byd diwylliedig. |
It was good to hear the results of our national league being read out on the classified results of TalkSport and Sky Sport over the weekend. This came after the BBC, which claims to be a public service that covers the whole of the UK, refused to do the same. This was partly a result of the campaign of Del Thomas from TNS that has threatened to take legal action against the BBC for not treating fairly every part of the area they are claiming to serve. Cynics would argue that this campaign has been orchestrated for the benefit of Del's company that would increase it's advertising potensial. Maybe so, but it would be hard to argue that this change of policy will not increase awareness of the league, and has the potential to benefit the whole League. It is therefore clear from this that companies that are run by Australian Rupert Murdock have more respect for Wales than a beurocracy run by toffee nosed men who still think that England is the centre of the civilized World. |
