Ond dydi hyn ddim yn syndod i'w glywed gan ddyn sydd yn newid y Ddraig Goch am Dri Llew Lloegr yn ystod rowndiau terfynnol cwpanau pwysig. Ond roedd ei glywed ddoe yn ddigon i ddod a cyfog i'r geg wrth iddo fynd a'i ganmoliaeth di-ben draw o "ddynion Syr Alex" gam ym mhellach na'r arfer. Cymharodd gampau y Saeson hyn gyda Owain Glyndwr - y dyn a gododd wrthryfel yn erbyn y Saeson. Mae'n ymddangos fod y cyn-sylwebwr wreslo hwn yn twyllo'i hun fod Pencampwyr Lloegr yn gwneud eu campau dros Gymru. Mae'n son am Gochion Man Iw fel mai hwy yw gwir dim Cymru, ag y dylai unrhyw Gymro gwerth ei halen dalu gwrogaeth i Alex Fergison a'i griw o "arwyr". Os yw sylwebwyr yn dangos cymaint o barch at dimau o Loegr ac yn twyllo'i hunain mai hyn yw'r peth cywir i'w wneud, ydi hi'n syndod fod pobl ym mhob rhan o ogledd Cymru yn trin timau Lloegr fel eu timau nw? Mae sylwebaeth o gemau yr Uwchgynghrair (ymgais arall i Gymreigio Cynghrair Lloegr?) i'w gael ar Radio 5 live, a dyma yw hoff wasanaeth cefnogwyr y Premier League. Felly pam na wnaiff Radio Cymru roi'r gorau i geisio plesio'r bobl hyn a dilyn arweiniad Radio Wales? |
Nick Parry (Radio Cymru commentator), well here's a man that's really lost his head on the "wizardry" of the men from the "Theatre of Dreams". And if you want to hear him paying his utmost respect to the giants of Old Trafford, just tune into Radio Cymru of a Saturday afternoon, any Saturday, and you will surely hear this chap worshipping the gods that grace the turf of that Mancunian palace. This is little wonder when it is considered that he swaps the Red Dragon for the Three Lions during the finals of Major championships. But to hear him yesterday was enough to bring vomit to the mouth when his praises of the English giants that are the "men of Sir Alex" went that country mile to far. His comparisons of Man U with Owain Glyndwr - a man that tried to spark an Uprising against the English - were, to put it mildly a bit misguided. It seems that this ex-wrestling commentator has fooled himself that the champions of England are representing Wales. He talks about the reds of Man U as if they are the real team of Wales, and that any Welshman worth his salt should marvel at the mention of these true heroes. If Welsh commentators show such respect to English clubs, and fool themselves that this is the done thing, is it any wonder that the majority of people across North Wales treat these English teams as their own? There is commentary from the Premiership on Five Live, and that is the station of choice for most Premiership followers, so why don't Radio Cymru follow the lead of Radio Wales and stop pampering to these people? |
