WE DO EXPOSE THE KURDISH CHAUVINISM

The Kurdish parties and organizations have augmented in recent periods their ignoring and assimilated policies that they have been pursuing eversince towards the communities of Assyrian, Syriac, Chaldean.

The Kurdish chauvinists have included Mesopotamia in the map of "Kurdistan" by asserting Mesopotamia, which is native country of the people of Assyrian, Syriac, Chaldean, as being a "Kurdish fatherland for ten thousand years", and with this manner, they have been continuing to ignore the existence and identity of communities in the region.

The Kurdish ideologists aims to convert all ethnic elements existing in Eastern Anatolia and Mesopotamia to an artificial "Kurdish" identity by dissolving them in an idea of being a "Kurd".

The Kurdish authors and organizations, who prefer spreading grudge and enmity instead of creating toleration, tranquillity and peace among the communities, compete not to allow others to get the first place in the animosity towards the people of Assyria by talking always about "the tyranny of Assyrian".

A few statements in recent periods are evident examples of this attitude:

In the declaration titled as "A call for Newroz Celebrations" which was distributed by The Information Center of Kürdistan in Paris on March 22, 1997; it was written that "The Kurds have began to celebrate Newroz as a feast-day after they were saved from the cruelty of Assyrian"

Also in a declaration signed by "The Kurdistan Information Center of Netherlands and The Federation of Kurdish Association of Netherlands (FED-KOM)" and which was distributed in the Newroz festivities organized in Rotterdam/Netherlands on March 20, 1998 it was stated that "The Meds, the father of Kurds, conquered Ninova, the capital of Assyrian on B.C. 612 and Newroz is the liberation day from Assyrian"

In the article titled as "The Kurdish Newroz has given its colour to Anatolia" which was published under the sign of Meral Kidir on the issue of Daily "Ulkede Gundem" dated 22 March 1998, the moutpiece of the PKK, it was written as follows:

"The reason of Newroz being celebrated for centuries as a barium of the Kurdish people, was the rebellion of Kava, the leader of Med, against the King of Assyrian, the Cruel Dehak. If the Meds did not revolt for liberty against the cruel Assyrian at that period, the Kurdish people have not been able to keep themselves alive up-till today. The rebellion of great Med under the leadership of Kava against the cruelty of Assyrian on B.C. 612, was one of the most important events that took place in history".

In another declaration that was published on March 21, 1998 under the sign of "ERNK-The European Organization" under Newroz pretext, the great Assyrian nation was insulted with words like "The present Assyrian Empire, The republic of Turkey" talking about "The cruelty of Assyrian".

On the issue dated October 4, 1998 of Daily Ulkede Gundem (p.g.), an expression such as "Shiites, Sunnis, Assyrians, pressured Kurds" was used very clearly.

The Kurds, who on one hand reveal clearly their hostility towards the Assyrians, and on the other hand with their efforts of presenting them as "being a Kurd", display a contradictory and double-faced attitude.

Despite of all these facts, unfortunately we notice with great sadness that some self-interested persons, who assert themselves as Assyrian, Syriac, Chaldean, have collaborated with the Kurdish chauvinists.

Among the new period members of The Kurdish Parliament in Exile (PKDW) guided by PKK, assembled in Italy on September 29, 1998, there were self-interested persons such as : George Aryo, Petros Karatay, Fikri Aho, Yakup Barsawmo and Özcan Keldoyo.

The policies of all Kurdish Organizations and parties and PKDW towards the Christian people of Mesopotamia are well known. What a pity that some traitors, who are addicted to "title" and advantage living with the Assyrian, Syriac, Chaldean peoples, also serve this policy pursued on the base of chauvinism and denial. We do strongly protest those. We make the public opinion known that those people who have participated in PKDW, do not represent our people never and ever.

We also condemn the subsidiary organization emerged under the cover of "The Patriotic Revolutionists of Beth-Nahrin", which collaborates with the Kurds and the PKK.

May Chauvinism perish !
