Shiva Roopam (A forms of shivam) According to Meikanda Shasthram,Sivam has three different forms or three different categories. 1.Rupa - Sakala - means forms of worship,fully manifested(like Natarajar) 2.Rupa Arupa - Niskalasakala - means formless form, partly manifested(Sivalingam) 3.Arupa - Niskala - formless, un-manifestedIn rupa theory,64 forms of worship have emerged from sivalaingam.These are called as Maheswara forms. Of the 64, only 25 forms are significant according to karana agama.
