We had the privilege to first meet this
talented, attractive young lady at the Abilities Expo in Anaheim, California
last spring, when we were all at that very well attended event. There were so
many people and exhibits, it was very difficult to see anything but the
hustle and bustle of crowded movement everywhere. However, we remember
clearly one new face stood out as being very unique and worth remembering.
The face that you see on the right in this photo is Jenni Gold, executive
producer of Gold Productions, and we are sure that you would enjoy knowing
about this phenomenally talented person. Jenni, who has muscular dystrophy and has
been in a wheelchair herself since the young age of seven, was born in
Toledo, Ohio to a non-show business family with two older sisters who each
have children of their own. Jenni and her fiancee Jeff, however, have no
children, but do have two cats waiting for them in Florida. Jenni was raised
in Miami, Florida where she later attended the University of Central Florida
after applying to their very well thought of film school. Each year that very
good school only accepts thirty students for the two year course toward a BA
degree in motion picture technology, including pre-film and television. Jenni
got her first taste of "the business" when she had done some
volunteer work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the Jerry Lewis MDA
Telethons. She saw for the very first time the lights, cameras and action,
and she knew that there might be a place for her right behind the camera,
writing, directing, and producing her own films. This was a natural step in
her career which had begun in radio as a copywriter for WIKX-FM/ FLORIDA
Broadcasting, and for Beasley Broadcasting. Jenni's corporate production experience is
extensive. She has written and/or directed video programs for various
corporate clients, including Disney/MGM's new media producers group
production. While attending film school, Jenni also gained film and
television experience by working as a free lance non-linear avid editor, and
through various production jobs at Nickelodeon and Universal Studios. This
multitalented lady produced her first feature film in film school and
graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA degree in film and motion picture
technology, and an additional BA in Radio and Television. As we've mentioned, for Jenni, overcoming obstacles
is nothing new. It is Jenni's unique perspective that has given her a
creative edge. In a world where she is physically limited, she has succeeded
by being innovative and creative, winning many awards in the process. Some of
her awards include an Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences
college competition, Crystal Reel from Florida Motion Picture and Television
Production, first place winner from the Alamo Film Competition Award, a first
place award from the Cleveland Film Society screening during the Cleveland
International Film Festival, certificate of merit from the Suffolk County New
York Film Festival, USA Film Festival finalist, Philadelphia Film Festival
finalist, Smokey Mountain Festival finalist, and the Women in Film organization
special screening. Ms. Gold has directed, written and edited the award- short
films PANIC and NOW SHOWING. Jenni also wrote and is developing a suspense
feature ADRENALINE and the made-for-TV film, THE BEVERLY CHAPMAN STORY. She
also recently coproduced and directed the television pilot EXPOSURE and
directed the music video Hip To It for the band Pitch Blue Jam. Ms. Gold also
wrote and directed the first three episodes of the bilingual television
program Cinema-Go-Go. In addition Jenni has just completed two new feature
film screenplays and perhaps the best yet is her new full length motion
picture, READY, WILLING AND ABLE, currently being seen in sneak previews
prior to full distribution. This picture stars Christopher Templeton, the
very pretty actress in the wheelchair on the left. Ms. Templeton has formerly
been seen in many productions such as The Young and the Restless, Simon and
Simon, In the Heat of the Night, Frasier, and numerous others. Ms. Templeton
is a post-polio survivor herself who did many of her own stunts without a
double, such as crossing roof tops and girders in a wheelchair, and rolling
across or dangling from high wires in the same chair. The fast paced action
thriller is full of never before seen stunts. This provocative film revolves
around Samantha (Sam) Martin, a CIA agent who is retired from service after
she is injured in the line of duty. Although Sam must now use a wheelchair,
she is determined to continue her career as a special agent. Frustrated that
no one will hire her, she decides to prove a point by breaking into the high
security headquarters of a defense contractor. Unfortunately for Sam, she
stumbles into an intricate conspiracy. A mole (spy) within the CIA is working
with a terrorist group to divert a shipment of chemical weapons which are
scheduled to be destroyed. Now she is caught in a web of deception,
corruption, and murder! Not knowing whom to trust, she plans an aggressive
move to stop the terrorist. She gathers a team of expert misfits and together
they embark on an impossible and dangerous mission! Jenni Gold wrote, produced and directed this
new and exciting film. As Jenni said, "the film is unique and
entertaining in itself and everyone should have a good time. Anything is
possible when you put your mind to it." JENNI IS CERTAINLY READY,
WILLING AND ABLE!!!!!!! |
