These songs are translated into American Sign Language glosses rather than signed English. Use any good American Sign Language book to look up each sign. The directions for placement of the signs are in paranthesis and a continued motion is shown with a series of periods.

Signing songs is useful to hearing people for several reason; it allows a new signer to sign complete thoughts rather than separate words, it helps develop smooth signing and it allows new signers to constructively use new signs when there is no one with whom to practice. Ii is also beautiful and fun!

Happy Signing!
