- Thanks goes out to Stu for the films of the 80s show idea. Peter, Geoff and Charles gave some interesting choices of films made during that decade along with some thought provoking banter.
Peter's picks:
Footloose (1984?)
Karate Kid I and II (1984,1986)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
Planes, Trains and Automobiles(1987)
Uncle Buck (1989)
Geoff's picks:
BladeRunner (1982)
Brazil(1983)
Sid and Nancy(1986)
Top Gun(1986)
Good Morning Vietnam(1987)
- Karen Moncrieff's debut feature Blue Car is a breath of fresh air compared to all the summer blockbusters that have polluted movie theatres so far. Strong performances were given by Agnes Bruckner and David Strathairn, showing the complexity of their characters and their relationship with each other. No car explosions or kung-fu here.

- Organizers of this year's Nothing But The Bestival, Andrew and Jeremy, dropped by today and gave us the skinny on the festival. Good to see you again guys.
- Geoff and Peter gave their views on the latest and last installment of the terminator series: Terminator 3. Did you know that there will be 25 sequels or prequels released in this year alone! Please, stop the pain.
