The 11th Commandment - All Hard Disks Fail

God gave Moses the 10 Commandments.

For your protection, please remember:

All computers fail eventually - the only question is when.
All hard drives fail eventually - the only question is when.
Power losses or spikes can harm your data.
Accidental or improper use of certain Windows or DOS utilities can harm your data.
Viruses can harm or erase your data.
Hard drive errors or faulty memory can harm your data.
Computers are stolen.

There are more examples that could be given, but the point is, to avoid loss of your data, please maintain a current backup of your computer files.

Windows includes a backup utility found at:

Start--> Programs--> Accessories--> System Tools --> Backup

Most computer stores sell at least one backup program for Windows. You can also copy the entire program folder and any subfolders to a high-capacity removable disk, such as a an Iomega "Zip disk".

Be sure, at a minimum, to copy all the files (letters, spreadsheets, photographs, etc.) and your other "must have information" to a Floppy Diskette.
