Player Profile - Tony Massenburg
2002/3 season: I thought he may be retiring from the Grizz, but doing well in Utah. I'm happy for YOU. I ended up getting Tony's warm up jersey from the Vancouver Grizz =)
I like his
professional attitude towards the game and the hard working play. I hope he
survives after 2001 season in NBA.
Here is my comments in the past:
Tony who was happy at the end of '98 season.
Tony who was sadly traded to Houston and been on IL list most of the '99 season.
Then, Tony happy signed with the Grizz as FA this summer for '00 season.
Everyone knows that's NBA's business side. Everyone knows that Grizz did not sign him to sit on the bench, but
the situation changes and you never know what happens.
But what happened to Tony is rather sad.
Suddenly from being benched for a long time, he is a starter. Tough business.
I like the way he always fights for the ball. He does lots of dirty jobs that's not going to be on the sports highlight every night. Just like Grant Long. I like watching these guys and respect what they do. I hope he is not going to be traded again, but if he is not getting the minutes he wants, I rather wants him to be happy somewhere else. Tough business....
