Our Engagement Party December 9, 2000 Dick and Judy Ward hosted an engagement party for us on Saturday December 9, 2000.  It was quite a festive atmosphere, with plenty of Christmas decorations along with friends and family.  On the dining room table, there was a beautiful cake with pink roses and our names.  In addition, Sharon, Judy and Mavis Lee collaborated to display childhood photos of Michael and I.  Side by side, there were pictures of us as toddlers, children, preteens and teenagers.  It was such a wonderful surprise to see these pictures displayed together.  The highlight of the evening was Dale Reid singing an "Ode to Michael and Tanya" to us.  Dick and Judy gathered everyone in their front foyer, and Dale stood on the staircase.  She sang her own rendition of "You are My Sunshine" that brought smiles and tears to all.  Click on the link below to read the lyrics that she created!
