Wedding Planning Flowers Judy and her friends in the lace club have made a beautiful variety of flowers out of Belgian lace.  This is also called bobbin lace.  The flowers range in color from light cream to pinks to mauves.  I first saw Judy's handiwork when she created a lovely corsage for our Prom evening in May.  They started working on the bouquet in January and have already finished!  Now it just needs to be arranged and I'll have my bridal bouquet.  (Photo) Wedding Bands On 2/24/01, Michael and I purchased our wedding bands at IW Marks here in Houston.  Michael's band is a wide platinum ring with a hammered texture.  It has a rope-type finish around the edges.  My wedding band is SO beautiful, and I love it.  It has a thin gold band with channel-set round diamonds.  Then it also has a "wrap" that comes around the solitaire engagement ring.  This consists of a few baguette cut stones and a round stone on each side.  (Photo) Michael's Tuxedo Michael will be wearing a black tux with a rounded shawl collar.  The jacket is single breasted with 3 buttons.  His vest and tie will also be black.  (Photo) Photography We will be using G. Michael Photography for our pictures.  I will be getting bridal portraits taken at Rice University on March 15.  Bridesmaid's Dresses The bridesmaids will be wearing black floor-length dresses of their selection Bridal Gown TOP SECRET! Veil I will be wearing a chapel-length ivory veil that incorporates some lace that my grandmother wore in her wedding. Cake The 4 tier white cake will be layered with a white chocolate mousse / raspberry filling.  It will be garnished with pink and white fresh roses.  The groom's cake will be chocolate garnished with a chocolate basket filled with strawberries!
