when all this iraq mess started, back in 2003, I found out that I could actually watch Al Jazeera, but as I don't understand any Arabic, this was pretty frustrating. Now my prayers (to nobody in particular) have been answered:

Since the middle of last week, they are running a full English-language news and reports coverage, from 4 offices around the world. They have created quite a stir in the media industry by poaching high profile people from other channels, e.g. David Frost in the UK.

I've watched only a bit of it so far (Sky channel 514, I think), but boy is it refreshing to know it's there and you do have the option to see this whole mess from the perspective of those who are actually most affected by it.
