Michael's blog about science, culture, and everything in between
science of the simpsons

A few years ago, I wrote a newspaper piece about the science of The Simpsons:

and for some time I vaguely thought I might one day make a book about this -- if I ever find the time to watch the entire series again :) , but I never got round to doing it.

I just found out that a fellow science writer called Paul Halpern has now produced such a book, due to come out soon:

What's Science Ever Done For Us: What the Simpsons Can Teach Us About Physics, Robots, Life, and the Universe

http://www.amazon.com/Whats-Science-Ever-Done-Us/dp/0470114606

serves me right for sitting on my hands for so long :)
