I read in the press that Nature is now running a subsidiary called "Second Nature" in Second Life. I found that very amusing/interesting for many reasons, including:

* not bad, for a 130-something-year-old !

* I didn't see this mentioned in 1st-life Nature, though.

* seems they have finally discovered the humourous potential of their name. They have also started an authors/editors news mag called "Nurture"

I'm way too scared to try 2nd life for myself. Mainly, the whole capitalist / monopoly aspect of it doesn't appeal to me that much. ... but if Nature manage to carry the torch of enlightenment into the virtual world, I'm not going to moan about it. (only chuckle, if anything).
