perpetuum mobile
Now isn't it reassuring that some old favourite time wasters like the perpetuum mobile never die? Here's it's latest incarnation, from a company (!) in Dublin: "We have developed a technology that produces free, clean and constant energy. This means never having to recharge your phone, never having to refuel your car. A world with an infinite supply of clean energy for all. Our technology has been independently validated by engineers and scientists - always off the record, always proven to work." Source: http://www.steorn.net/frontpage/default.aspx
NB I very much believe that our understanding of physics and the Universe is incomplete and may in fact be completely wrong in places, but one has to draw a line somewhere. And I think if the laws of thermodynamics were wrong and could be proven wrong down here on Earth (not in some exotic place like a black hole), we would have noticed that by now. ================================================================= If you would like to add a comment to my blog and don't get a box to type your comment into, go via http://uk.360.yahoo.com/michaelgrr If you want my website instead, please go to: =================================================================
