Nobel prizes 2006

Of course I'd never say "I told you so" but ... I find it intriguing that the Nobel prizes in both medicine and chemistry are for advances that I covered in 2000 / 2001.

On RNAi (NP med. or phsysiology) I wrote a short feature in Spektrum der Wissenschaft, October 2001.

On Kornberg's work on RNA polymerase (NP chem) I had two pieces:

Gross M (2000): Chemistry in Britain Nr 7, 25
The gene machine

Groß M (2001):
Spektrum der Wissenschaft Nr 7, 24
Die Botschaft des Genoms X: RNA-Polymerase II - Detektor und Kopist von Genen
[@]

very exciting stuff in both cases. and almost fresh ...
