I have been back in the US for about three weeks, but I am just now getting around to updating my blog. I am really glad to be back home and teaching my students at MSU. The two months in Honduras was really great and I will be posting various photos over the next few weeks.

This is a photo of Francisco Carranza (everyone calls him Paco) and myself. He is a guitarist, teacher and composer from San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He has written many great pieces for guitar and I will be using two of them in my project to publish and record Honduran guitar music. I really like his music because it is well written for the guitar and uses a lot of Honduran folkloric elements mixed in with elements of traditional classical guitar. I hope that you will have the opportunity to either hear me perform his pieces live or hear the recording when it is completed.

In this photo, we are meeting at his guitar school in San Pedro Sula. We are discussing my project and he is showing me information about his plans for a Central American guitar festival and competition.
