Here I am performing with Jorge Elvir. He and his wife Venus were my hosts for the first month that I was in Honduras. In this photo, we are performing at the Teatro la Fragua in El Progreso. El Progreso is in the north part of the country and is very hot (unlike Tegucigalpa, which in the southern part of Honduras and is a litte cooler due to elevation). There is no air conditioning in the Teatro la Fragua, so it is extremely hot and uncomfortable to perform there, but the audiences are great.

Soon after this performance, Jorge had the opportunity to go to Spain and participate in the festival at Santiago de Compostela. This is a very old and historic music festival, and the guitar program (perhaps the entire festival, but I am not sure) was initiated by Andres Segovia. Jorge is a great player and I enjoyed performing with him and spending time with him while I was in Honduras.
