I have been very fortunate in my six years here at MSU to have seen the guitar program grow immensely, both in numbers and in quality. We have so many guitar majors and students who wish to take guitar for elective credit, that this fall, we needed to hire an adjunct instructor to help. This is a photo of Brad Holley. He graduated from MSU as a guitar major in 2005, and then went to Southeastern Louisiana University to complete his master's degree in music. He just finished this year, and I am proud to have him back here at MSU teaching guitar students. Between the two of us, with guitar majors, non-major lessons, and private lessons, we are teaching around 60 students. It is exciting to me to have so much interest in guitar here at Mississippi State.

We will be having a guitar studio recital at the end of the semester, on Sunday December 2, at 5:00 p.m. in Music Building C. There will be a number of guitar majors, non-majors, private students and ensembles performing on the program.
