Last Sunday, September 30, I performed a recital on beautiful Saltspring Island, one of the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. The Church of All Saints by-the-sea was a beautiful setting, both visually and acoustically for a guitar concert. On the program, I played works by Laurindo Almeida, Manuel Ponce, Agustin Barrios and Maximo Diego Pujol. In addition, I performed works that I received while in Honduras, pieces by Donaldo Umanzor, Raphael Umanzor, Francisco Carranza, and a beautiful arrangement of a Honduran folk song, Parinde.
