Here are Carol and I with the U.S. Ambassador to Honduras, Charles Ford, and his wife Lillian. While we were in Honduras, we performed a special concert at their home in Tegucigalpa. That was really a nice experience. The audience was very appreciative. After the concert, we met the Italian ambassador to Honduras and his wife (who is an American), many important cultural figures, and the former president of Honduras, Carlos Flores.

We were really amazed at what a huge social event this was. There were reporters from all of the newspapers (about five or six different photographers, we learned the meaning of the word paparrazzi) and there were full-page articles in the newspapers later that week. It actually seemed to be more of a social event than a musical one, but it was a lot of fun anyway.
