Notes for Thomas Church
From the book, "County Court Records Accomack-Northhampton VA 1640-1645" Record of Thomas Church as indentured servant: May 17, 1641: Whereas James Bruse hath made it appeare to this courte as well by indentures as also by the testimony of his neighbors that he hath fower (4) hundred acres of land dew unto him for the adventure of himself and the transportation of nyne (9) persons whose names are heerunder subscribed. It is therefore ordered that the certificate be accordingly granted unto him the sayd Bruse whereby hee may have a patttent from the govenor and counsell for the sayed Fower (4) hundred acres of land. James Bruse, William Wells, Katherine Parsons, Marke Bromfeild, Thomas Church, Jane Williams, David Wheately, Henry King.
