Obituary of Mrs. Acenith Yaughgar, The Weekly Kansan, Newton, February 2, 1899:
"Death of a Centenarian
Mrs. Acenith Yaughgar died at the home of her son in Walton last week. The remains were shipped to Andrews, Indiana today. The son Wm, accompanied them. She was 105 years and three months old. The cause of her death was old age and grip. Mrs. Yaughger came to this county eighteen months ago to visit her son and never returned. She has been a visitor to the county seat many times and made the trip with less inconvenience that many who were years younger than she. "
