"John Grubb, together with William Penn, Richard Buffington, and others, on March 3, 1676, signed the Plan of Government for the Provence of New Jersey and came to America in 1677, where he became a prominent pioneer as a legislator, magistrate, farmer and leather manufacturer. His will is recorded at Philadelphia and also at New Castle, Delaware. His widow, Frances Vane Grubb, m. 2nd. Richard Buffington, her deceased husband's friend."
