Dies Monday - Mrs. Emma Schandonia, of Kingsley, Mich., and foremerly of South Bend, died Monday morning at her home in Kingsley. Mrs. Schandonia lived in South Bend for 76 years and was the wife of Theodore Schandonia.

Word Received in South Bend of Death of Mrs. Emma Schandonia
Mrs. Emma Schandonia, 87, of Kingsley, Mich., and formerly of South Bend, died at 10 o'colck Monday morning at her home in Kingsley, according to word received by her daugher, Mrs. Harriet Mikesell, South Bend. Mrs. Schandonia was for 76 years a resident of South Bend, coming here at the age of four years from Syracuse, N.Y. She was married in 1860 to Theodore Schandonia, who was for many years connected with the Coquillard Wagon company. Mrs. Schandonia, before marriage, was Emma DeGraff, and was born Nov. 25, 1843, in Vermont. She left here seven years ago to make her home with her granddaughter in Kingsley. Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Mikesell, are two sons, Charles Shandonia, South Bend, and Edward Schandonia, Chicago. Funeral service will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in Kingsley. Interment also will take place there.
