Lucille was born in Frenchtown, Michigan. She married Charles B. Chandonia and together they had 5 children. Lucille died March 31, 1881 in South Bend, Indiana.

Death of C.B. Chandonia, widow of charles B. Chandonia, passed away yesterday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. P. Phillion, aged 66 years. Her trouble was lung complaint, and she had been an invalid for some time. The funeral will take place from St. Joseph's Church, Forthward, on Saturday, forenoon at 10 o'clock. Rev. Father Fallize officiating. Internment at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame. Mrs. Chandonia was married to Mr. Chandonia in Detroit and they moved to this place in 1836. They were among our most respected citizens. Mr. Chandonia was deputy sherrif under Sherrif B.F. Miller for 4 years, and previous to that was one of the 1st constables the place had, and was also marshall of the town. They raised a large family, the oldest children being Leut. C. Theodore Chandonia, of the 48th Indiana and Mrs. P Phillion. The other children being one Mrs. Alice Beaupre, of Cincinatti and John H. of this city.

Death of Mrs. Lucille Chandonia
Mrs. Lucille Chandonia elict of the late C.B. Chandonia, died at 3:30 yesterday afternoon from a complication of diseases with which she had suffered all winter. Her death occurred at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. P. Philion, in the Fourth Ward, in the presence of all the members of the familywho reside in the city. Mrs. Chandonia was in her 66th year, and was a native of Maumee, Ohio, from where she moved with her family to Detriot in 1830, and there was married to her late husband. In 1836 she came to South Bend and resided here until death. Eight children were born to them of whom four survive: Chas. T. and John H. Chandonia, Mrs. P. Philion and Mrs. Alice Beaupre, of Cincinanati. Mrs. Chandonia was one of the best of women and a a large circle of friends join the family in mourning her loss. The funteral will occur at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Fourth ward Rev. Father Falize officiating; interment at Notre Dame.
